Originally opened in 1923, Cold Water Canyon Golf Course is an 18-hole course known for its picturesque scenery and well-kept grounds. The course offers a challenging yet enjoyable golfing experience with its rolling fairways, picturesque views of the Wisconsin River, and well-manicured greens.
One of the most intriguing parts of playing at Cold Water Canyon is the blend of the old and the new. The front nine was originally constructed in 1923. They have been carefully preserved and feature the same traditional style as they did a century ago. Despite the age, these holes are still a joy to play.
In contrast, the back nine is more unconventional. Link-style hills, moguls, and bunkers line the course, creating secluded fairways and more challenging holes. Water hazards also play a role in the more demanding nature of the back nine. While the challenge increases, so do the incredible views.
