Join us this summer for live music on the Patio at the Tavern Restaurant. Our Patio Series features a variety of Classic Rock, Blues and Jazz by local artists. Music starts at 7 PM on select nights. Music is rain or shine. Schedule subject to change.

A Sneak Peek At The Performers:

Abby Spencer – Abby Spencer made her YouTube debut in 2010 and she has been singing and posting videos every since. She considers herself country/indie, identifying mostly with Ingrid Michaelson, Colbie Calliat and Miranda Lambert. You can find her on Facebook and Instagram.

Avian Aura – Stripped-down contemplative folk rock with grit and humanity. Gary and JOan have been part of the Madison-area community for years, and are back in this fresh presentation, hoping to express what it means to be human, present and connected.

Bree Morgan – Bree Morgan has performed across the Midwest in the bands “Exit 69”, and most recently, “Shotgun Jane.” Morgan now has set out on her own course to share her fun, energetic and passionate music as a solo artist while also running her own full band “Bree Morgan Reloaded.”

David Hecht – David Hecht began his music career at age 12, dabbling in Tex-Mex swing, mariachi, latin music and even the funk of the 60’s and 70’s. David went on to form the acclaimed touring and recording group, JAVA, which claimed fans from all over the US, Canada and beyond, performing with such notable artists as Elton John, the Pointer Sister, Jimmy Buffet, Third World, Dr. John, the Neville Brothers and Los Lobos.

Derek Ramnarace – Derek Ramnarace is a singer/songwriter/guitarist who has been professionally touring nationwide since 2002 – starting with his genre-defying powerhouse act, Hooch, followed by rock, reggae and blues collective, The SoapBox Project, and his most recent labor of love – The Americana, folk, rock act, Old Soul Society. In addition to being the Ragged Roots Music & Art Festival’s founder and director, he is a promoter, agent and producer for many acts and venues throughout the Midwest.

Jenna Rae & Tim Schroeder - The “Jenna Rae” acoustic duo is comprised of Jenna Rae Legler from Holmen, Wisconsin and Tim Schroeder from Kendall, Wisconsin. Their repertoire consists of age-old classics such as “Stairway to Heaven”, “Dust in the Wind” and “Hotel California”, to some of the most recent hits like Rihanna’s “Love on the Brain”, Duffy’s “Mercy”, and Chris Stapelton’s “Tennessee Whiskey”. Kivi & Pray – Kivi & Pray are two Wisconsin songwriters who perform, record and travel together. Over eight years and 10,000 miles on the road, Thomas Kivi and Sarah Pray have blended their influences together in a fresh, honest blend of Americana. Lo Marie – Lo grew up playing music in Madison, Wisconsin and later moved to Nashville, Tennessee to attend Vanderbilt University where she studied classical music and jazz. Her final year of school at Vanderbilt was a time of great personal growth and a transition to dedicating herself and her life to creativity through music. It was during this transitional period that many of her songs from her brand new EP “Beyond the Age of Reason” were born. Mike Droho – With 9 full-length album releases and more than 1,500 performances throughout the United States, Mike Droho has amassed a grassroots following. His following has purchased more than 20,000 records and witnessed this prolific songwriter share the stage with artists like Eric Church, Gavin DeGraw, Trevor Hall and The Violent Frames. MMCM – From the heartland to the coasts, MMCM engages audiences with honest songs expressed in harmonically-rich layers of voices and strings. Matthew Michael & Christina Marie are currently in production of their first full-length album, to be released in 2019.

Raising Red – Raising Red is a roots rock group based in Central Wisconsin formed in late 2015 after the birth of their daughter (little “Red”.) The group is centered around the lyrics of Stephanie and Derek Olson. The duo released their debut album in the spring of 2017 titled “The Road.”

Robert J. Conaway – Robert J. has been a mainstay in the Wisconsin music scene ever since his 1986 debut album, “Boys Town”. Along with a dozen or so MAMA awards, Robert was named the 2003 Wisconsin Vocalist of the Year. He won the Billboard Award Song contest with his blues tune, “A Million Miles Away” and in 2015 was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Madison Area Music Association for his songwriting.

Sam Lyons – Sam Lyons is an award-winning, young songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who released his fifth CD of original material. Sam has created a unique contemporary sound that is a blend of pop, R&B and country that produces, “powerful songs full of visceral grooves and pop hooks that stick.” Sam’s latest EP, “Let’s Go,” is a collaboration with Oscar-winning, Grammy-nominated, producer/musician, Leo Sidran. Sam Ness – “Sam Ness looks and sounds like he was born a few decades too late. His hair and beard conjure images of Jim Morrison circa 1969, and, like Morrison, Ness writes poetry that he sets to music and prefers the character of old European cities. But Ness isn’t as lost as Morrison was.” – Wisconsin State Journal
