5 Hiking Spots to Explore near Our Wisconsin Dells Resort

Wisconsin Dells is home to a wide selection of trails, which means there’s something for all ages and skill levels. Take in the area’s scenic beauty by making your way along one or several of these paths during your spring break escape.

  1. While not a traditional hike, our resort features a stunning riverwalk behind the property. Stroll along the paved path and enjoy views of the Wisconsin River and towering pines. There are several benches where you can catch up on a book or listen to the sounds of nature.
  2. The Chapel Gorge Trail is located within the Dells of Wisconsin Natural Area. The 1.7-mile loop trail is an easy option and is especially stunning between March and October.
  3. Rocky Arbor Loop is one option within Rocky Arbor State Park. This 1.4-mile loop path starts at the parking lot of State Highway 16 and US Highway 12 and winds through the Wisconsin state park.
  4. Mirror Lake State Park has over 19 miles of trails. The Echo Rock Trail is an easy option, less than a mile long, but it offers scenic views of the lake. You can extend this hike by connecting with the Ishnala Trail.

Found right outside of the Dells in Baraboo is Devil’s Lake State Park, which has almost 30 miles worth of paths to explore. The options here range from easy strolls along the lakeshore to a rocky hike lending to the East Bluff.
