Accounts Payable
The basic function of the Accounts Payable position is to assist and complete the daily tasks and duties directed by the CFO. This position is to maintain the necessary communication with the vendors so that payables are accurate and timely. In addition, establish and maintain clear and simple lines of communication among all departments. Provide assistance in achieving the goals and objectives of the company, Chula Vista Resort. **This is a full-time, first shift hourly position.
- Prepare accounts payable invoices, adjustments, and credits for processing and enter them in the computer.
- Answer incoming phone calls for the accounting department.
- Review invoices and ensure that we are properly recording sales taxes.
- Print computer checks for accounts payable and enter hand written checks into the computer.
- Reconcile vendor statements.
- Assist in preparation of 1099s
- Print various reports as needed.
- Consistently show the ability to recognize and deal with priorities.
- Meet deadlines for time-sensitive activities.
- Maintain a cooperative working relationship with guests and the entire staff.
- Perform all other duties that may be deemed appropriate by the CFO.
Education
- High school diploma required.
- 2-year accounting degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
The ability to work with other people effectively in a staff position is important. Must have the ability to think creatively regarding solving problems as they occur. Attention to detail, accuracy, good judgment, and confidentiality are a must.
